Welcome

The Christian faith is at the heart of our school community.
At Christ Church we all care, learn and work together for God and others.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do’. Ephesians 2:10

Our Christian Values are

Creation, Community, Wisdom, Endurance, Thankfulness, Reconciliation

You are warmly welcomed to Christ Church Primary School website to see all that we offer and visits in person are always strongly, encouraged.

The children at our school say that they, ‘Are happy and kept safe in school’. They describe Christ Church as, ‘One big family because everyone knows each other’ Ofsted March 2022.

They also say that they are brothers and sisters under the school roof. There is a great deal of fun and laughter in the school and includes the adults!

We are a happy, thriving, productive school and our behaviour for learning is excellent (the last three Ofsteds have told us so!). We are committed to ensuring your children have a completely safe and inclusive experience with us.

Our school pedogogy is based on Maslow’s triangle of need. We seek to nurture the whole child including the nourishing of their spirituality. Breakfast bagels are provided for every child and we have an amazing school counsellor, from the Place2Be service for any children and families who request additional support.

The children’s well-being is at the forefront of all that we do.

Academic rigour and high standards are of upmost importance at Christ Church. We strongly encourage our children to work hard and do their very best in all tests and exams but to also remember, exam results do not define them and there are many continued opportunities to grasp throughout their lives and explore all of their talents. This school has a history of securing full academic, scholarships and bursaries, music bursaries and children who have gone on to excel in further education as well as other great achievements e.g. playing football for England and dancing with the Bolshoi ballet.

We hope that your children will leave Christ Church with big dreams and aspirations and with the knowledge of good citizenship. We aim to prepare them to be resilient and equipped with the grit and determination to succeed and overcome any challenges and we want to partner with parents to create positive, happy children.

I am proud of how our children know how to embrace difference, race, creed, disability and culture: they are compassionate and very caring towards one another.

We want them to travel and explore each corner of the world, eat new food, climb mountains, surf the waves and experience the wonders of the world!

Our children clearly understand the school vision and they seek to serve, ‘The Christian faith is at the heart of our school community. At Christ Church we all care, learn and work together for God and others.’

If our pupils continue to strive to serve their God and mankind, then I can speak on behalf of all the adults here who work with the children… our jobs here are complete.

We love to welcome visitors so if you would like to come and see us in person, please call the office and make an appointment – we look forward to seeing you.

Kind Regards,

Paula Walker (Head teacher)
