School Council

At Christ Church we have a thriving school council who are significantly involved in decision-making within the school and ensuring that we have a strong 'pupil voice'.

To name just a few examples, last year's school council...

  • organised a whole-school election to choose a new marking and feedback character (Penny the Penguin!)
  • met with Caterlink (our school meal provider) to discuss how the lunchtime experience could be improved
  • ran a staff INSET, encouraging teachers to run extra-curriculr clubs which had been requested by the children

Each class, from Year 1 to 6, chooses a boy and girl to represent their class at weekly school council meetings. Reps hold many important roles including chair-person, treasurer and secretary.

Please come back here soon to meet our new School Council team and hear about the exciting projects we have lined up for 2016-2017...
