Jam Club

JAM Club (Jesus and Me) – our school Bible Club – has been running successfully for a number of years and is open to all children in KS2 (years 3-6).

It is lead purely by volunteers under the guidance of our Parent Governor, Anita Thomas. The club takes place every Thursday from 3.30 – 5.00pm in the school hall. The children are taught from the Bible and carry out a variety of fun activities, including singing songs, playing games and making crafts.

JAM also includes annual and biennial special events. For example:

  • Annual Year 5 weekend away to the Cotswolds in November
  • End of term parties at Christmas, Easter and Summer Term
  • Our popular pancake party - Shrove Tuesday – but on a Thursday!
  • Annual Summer term assembly (to which parents & carers are invited)
  • Biennial Prom Praise for Schools trip to the Royal Albert Hall

The club is free of charge and open to all who want to learn more about the Bible, Jesus and living the Christian life. Once a child has been attending the club for half a term, showing weekly commitment, then they are given a JAM Club Badge, which they are able to wear to school every day.

JAM Junior

This is the JAM club for our Year 1, Year 2 and Reception Class children. The club is lead by Anita with a couple of JAM Club KS2 children who give up their lunchbreak to help. It runs every Tuesday from 12.30 – 1.00pm, and takes place in the cabin (on the playground). The children are taught from the Bible, sing songs and finish with an activity.
